SAE J517 100R16 COMPACT, HIGH PRESSURE, ONE AND TWO STEEL WIRE REINFORCED, RUBBER COVERED HYDRAULIC HOSE specifies impulse test, inspection test and dimensions.

SAE J517 100R16 covers hose for use with petroleum base hydraulic fluids within a temperature range of –40 to +100°C and with water base hydraulic fluids within the temperature ranges agreed upon by the manufacturers of both the hose and the fluid. Operating temperatures in excess of +100°C with petroleum base hydraulic fluids may materially reduce the life of the hose. Maximum working pressure and minimum bend radius are specified in Table 27.
