What is the difference between BSP and BSPP?
BSP stands for British Standard Pipe technical standards. BSP connection includes two types of threads, one is BSPP which can be straight or parallel; the other one is BSPT, which is tapered. The thread pitch and thread angle is the same 55 degree. BSP and BSPP is not the same thing.
Is G thread the same as BSPP?
Two types of thread is the same parallel straight, British Standard Pipe Parallel thread is BSPP, also be denoted by the letter G ISO standard. BSPP and G is the same thing.

JIS B0202 In Japan this thread is known as PF Use prefix G for parallel thread.
So BSPP and PF is the same thing.
G = BSPP = BSPF = BSPM = PS
So BSP scope included BSPP, BSPT, G, PF thread; BSPP, G and PF thread is the same. It just has different notations in UK and Japan.
